Le studio est plus qu’un espace de création : c’est un lieu de résonance. C’est là que naît le geste que surgit une vérité. Ma pratique artistique a besoin de laisser une trace, de donner un sens à ce qui échappe, à travers l’image.

A place of resonance, freedom, and presence

The studio is more than a space for creation: it is a place of resonance. It is where the gesture is born, where chaos takes shape, where truth emerges. My artistic practice is rooted in an almost visceral need to connect with something profound and timeless—that ancient human impulse to leave a mark, to give meaning to what eludes us, through the image.

Painting connects me to that. It is immediate, physical, and infinitely open to reinvention. I do not seek to represent the visible, but to express what is internal, instinctive, emotional, and often buried. Each work is an attempt to capture a moment of clarity wrested from chaos. That moment—when the unexpected emerges and resonates—is why I live in the studio.

Freedom is central to my approach—freedom to think, to create, to explore. I reject repetition or predictability. I change techniques, mediums, and materials to stay as close as possible to the moment, as true as possible to intuition. This keeps my works alive, charged with energy, and always in a state of tension. No two works are alike. Each painting, each installation is a unique voice, an object of presence—powerful, emotional, authentic.

Whether in the form of canvases or spatial installations, my work is characterized by matter in motion, forms in a state of imbalance, and palpable tensions. I explore humanity’s relationship to the world, to life, to memory, and to time. I deconstruct forms to reveal others. I work with what persists, what vibrates, what resists collapse.

The studio thus becomes an extension of this intimate engagement with matter and meaning—a place of exploration where philosophy, science, current events, and art history intertwine. It all begins with a sketch, a drawing—that first breath that gives structure to thought. Then come the structures: the skeletons, the mental and physical frameworks that support the work and crystallize its intention. ” »

A Journey Between Roots and Transformation

I am LE FRANC, a visual artist born in La Rochelle. Since childhood, drawing has always been my language. I grew up with a pencil in my hand.

My training began at the Joussaume studios, where, for nearly ten years, I studied under the guidance of established artists. There, I explored a variety of techniques and materials that form the foundation of my current practice. Very early on, I felt the need to go beyond the academic framework, to deconstruct in order to better reconstruct a personal, free, and embodied vision.

In 2014, I moved to Nantes, a city rich in artistic opportunities. There, I pursued a refresher course in Applied Arts, a decisive step that liberated my artistic expression and refined my vision. This was followed by two programs in visual communication and graphic design, which broadened my thinking toward the conceptual and critical dimensions of visual language.

This journey has allowed me to develop a unique practice, at the intersection of the visual and the philosophical, the body and abstraction, the sensory and perception. My works—paintings, installations, and hybrid devices—emerge from a state of intense presence, always in tension with the material, always in search of the right vibration.
